In the second quarter of 2025, several news and magazine applications on the Android platform in Malta showed varied performance trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps exhibited distinct patterns in downloads and revenue.

Times of Malta, published by Allied Newspapers, experienced a peak in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $636 in late April. However, this was followed by a general downward trend, concluding the quarter at around $219. Weekly downloads started strong with over 1.1K at the end of March, but gradually declined to 218 by the end of June.

X (Formerly Twitter) from X Corp. maintained relatively stable revenue throughout the quarter, with a notable spike to $238 in mid-May. Downloads fluctuated slightly, starting at 138 in March and ending at 97 in June, showing a mild decline.

Hindi News by Dainik Bhaskar saw consistent downloads, ranging from 70 to 124 weekly. Despite the absence of revenue data, the app's download numbers indicate steady user interest.

Way2News Daily News App also showed stable download figures, with numbers hovering between 56 and 99 throughout the quarter.

Finally, Public Local News - Shuru App had modest download numbers, peaking at 83 by the end of June, despite no revenue reported.
